Developed over the past century with funding from the Canadian government’s cold-hardy plant program—especially targeting roses—the Explorer roses are a remarkably cold-resistant variety. They are available in single, semi-double, and double petal forms, with colors ranging from pink to red and white. Unlike traditional roses, the Explorer roses can thrive in temperatures below –30°C, offer an extended blooming period with multiple flushes, produce abundant flowers, and exhibit strong disease resistance—truly dynamic and robust.
